Caribbean cruise March 2015
Day 10
Tada we are back again and broadcasting from Curaçao today, now you should be happy as I've uploaded photos for you to look at - have you seen them yet?? No, well go check them out now!
This is our first time in Curaçao so we wanted to make the best of it, we went out and booked ourselves a tour around the island. Our driver took us through the town which was beautiful and had very colourful buildings- they re-paint their buildings each year so it's a very smart looking place.
Curaçao is a Dutch island and looking around it did resemble Holland quite a bit.
Next we went to the Curaçao factory where they make that rancid drink, you know that blue, green or other colour liquor used in cocktails, of course we tried all the coloured liquors while in the factory it's not the best tasting stuff ever.
Then on to some caves - caves are caves right, enough said - there's some pictures on the photo page for you to look at although we were told not to take any photos.....
We made a quick stop at a lake where there were flamingoes but the stupid birds were to far away to see properly, meh.
Our tour guide was very good explaining lots of information regarding the island, I've forgotten most, well all of it or I would tell you something interesting.
He dropped us off in the town and we walked around looking in shops then went for lunch, now being in the Caribbean and not eating on the ship you suspect we'd eat something a bit special right? No, McDonald's of course :)
Well it's been a lovely day, we loved Curaçao.
In other news - Leon is still dousing us in sun lotion so we are still sun reflectors.
There's been no seasickness- that's no fun I may have to go out and buy some for Leon.
Thanks for the birthday message Ian and Melanie - although it's not actually my birthday.
Catch your next exciting instalment tomorrow....
