Day 13
New Year's Eve and we floating about in the drink today. We have a couple of things planned at 1pm we are entering the black jack tournament and at 2pm we are champagne tasting.
In our first attempt at blackjack neither of us got on the leader board, we had another go which also gave us a free go as well, on the second attempt we both got the same score and qualified into 4th and 5th place we took our free goes straight away as we had to run off for the champagne - we didn't do any better.
The champagne tasting was ok we got try Cristal which is $299 a bottle that was nice enough and we got 10% off our rosé bottle of taittinger so that was handy.
We took off back to the casino to see if we were still in the final and guess what.......... both of us qualified!! The final was a nail biting experience with 4 people being knocked out by the 5 round, including Leon :( In the last round there was clear winner some old lady had far more chips then me and the other guy still playing, when she made a crazy move putting the majority of her chips into play in the last round!!!??? She was very lucky and still won and I came second.
After our evening meal we spent most of our time back in the casino with our bottle of champagne until the countdown happened in the crows nest night club, then danced into 2014 to some extremely dodgy music.
