Day 4
Back to diary
Last day in Hong Kong and we are heading over to Macau to jump off the Macau tower! We took a ferry to Macau which takes about an hour then a bus over to the tower, looking around Macau seems like a cool place lots of casinos and familiar looking buildings.... Macau is the Vegas of the east and many of the buildings are the as the ones in Vegas.
I'm feeling fairly scared now but Leon's excited (I think this could be the first time ever I've seen him excited), at the top of the tower I'm thinking I'm not going to be able to jump but the guy we saw on tv came and got us and made me feel easier about it - the guy from the tv is from an idiot abroad 3 when they filmed Warrick Davis jumping off and Karl Pilkington not doing it, the guy from the tower called him a pussy and I got the impression he wasn't impressed with Karl.
We harnessed up and went to the edge of the building, now I'm really crapping myself I'm jumping first as I don't want to be left at the top on my own. They give me the instructions and tell me to step off the building at this stage I decide I don't want to do this and try to run away its like a scene from scooby doo with scooby holding scrappy back while he is on a mad one, I'm back at the edge of the building still saying no and the guys are thinking they are going take me off the harness when I make a jump for it! For about a second I'm free falling then the wires take over and I descend at a fast speed it's about 14 seconds to the bottom - it was pretty cool but not as exciting as I thought it would be. Leon comes down next about 5 minutes after me and thinks the same.
We then head back to the ferry to go back to Hong Kong and we're a bit late so when we get to Hong Kong we have to run all the way back to the ship through all the people Christmas shopping, nightmare.
Having issues with the wifi on the ship so no photos for the moment, we also have photos and videos of our skydives on USB so you can see them when we are home.
