Day 6
Goooooood morning Vietnam!! (Sorry couldn't resist). Hello again everyone it's Christmas Eve and we are now moored just off Halong Bay meaning we have to tender boat to the shore. Once there we stroll off for a bit before deciding to take a tour to see the natural wonder and world heritage site of more than 3000 limestone islands and Thien Cung Cave. The rocks are quite amazing and we moor up to one of them and enter Thien Cung Cave it's like Cheddar gorge but much bigger and with different coloured lights making it look all pretty inside, after that we jump back on our boat and head to a floating city, bit like a shanty town in the sea - the locals take us out for a short trip around the lagoon on bamboo boats and show us the floating school.
Weather is warmish and we are told its going to get much better Boxing Day.
