Day 2 - Marseille

Bonjour from hot and sunny France. We have been to Marseille before but Leon doesn't remember it and it looks different to last time.

We take the shuttle into town but as soon as I get off the coach I have an altercation with a local smelly tramp, we both stand in the street shouting at each other in different languages, I have no idea what he said but I'm pretty sure I won.

We stroll around Marseille which is very nice looking along the waterfront market stalls, purchasing the odd piece of fine tat to take home then stop off at a local bar for a beer and some wifi - as soon as the staff hear we are English we are pretty ignored.

Here's the update you have been waiting for - dinner date disasters... So the first night at dinner we are placed on to a 4 seater table, when the other 2 people turned up the man went mad demanding he wanted to be on a table for 2 - they advised him this would be changed the next night, I believe this couple to be Italian and they definitely don't want to chat to us. On the table next to us on the other side are 4 Germans who don't talk to each other they just stare at us.

So tonight we rock up to our table to see our tables have about an inch gap between us and the Italians, however their is only one little tray of butter and one flower - the waiters move our tables slightly further apart so we claim the butter and flower as our own and we are not sharing....

The couple turn up for dinner happier that they don't have to sit with us but unfortunately they had very dry rolls for their tea!!
