Day 4 - At sea
Hello shipmates..., today we are entertaining ourselves on the boat.
As part of our massage package we have access to the spa so we're off there this morning, it's very nice with big warm thermal chairs to relax in while looking out the window to sea. We try out the sauna and steam rooms until Leon's had enough then we trot off to find something else to do.
It's a lovely warm day, slightly cloudy and a bit windy as the ship is moving. We settle in for a bit of sun bathing until Leon gets bored again and we trot off to find something else to amuse us.
The ship is Italian so we are struggling a bit with the language barrier, most of the staff do speak English but we still can't understand them :(
This afternoon activities are mainly in the casino, as we are at sea the casino is allowed to stay open (it has to close when we are docked due to gambling restrictions). We do ok considering we only bet 10 euros between us and play for 3 hours off the winnings that we made.
Dinner time!! It's Italian day on the ship and all the tables are dressed up in red, white and green. We are first down to the restaurant again, still sandwiched between the Germans that like to stare at us and the Italians who don't want to be with us, their table it still a couple of inches away from ours. As we sit down I ensure our table as the butter and flowers which tonight we're on the Italians table hahahaha. Zee Germans are the first to arrive, I think they missed us last night as they seem cheerful even speaking to us, then the moody Italians arrive!! But stone the crows even the Italians must have missed us as they actually greet us with an 'good evening' as they sit down - they are now allowed full use of the butter dish again :)
As apart of the Italian themed dinner we all had to wave our napkins in the air while the waiters brought out the tiramisu then join a (weird Italian) conga around the restaurant... It was quite good fun and has done loads for international relations as the Italians and Germans both wished us a good night.
We're back off to the casino tonight.
