Day 7 - Salerno

Ciao again from lovely warm and sunny Italy. We dock in early this morning and we have to get a wiggle on as its a short stop in this port.

We head off into the town area of Salerno which actually is quite nice, a lot better than yesterday's place, we find a waterside cafe and sample some more local food. The waiter doesn't have the best English and it turns out we have ordered far too much food - the food isn't the greatest but it's better than the muck we have been eating on the ship. We each have a flat bread looking thing with a filling inside and some 'speciality' dish which was cheese, ham bits and pasta deep fried, I'm hungry so I eat some but really it's not nice.

We have to be back onboard before 12.30 so we trot along the seafront taking in some of the nice views around us.

After a short sunbathing stint because Leon got bored we head back to our cabin and watch a film - get hard, it was quite funny worth a watch if you ever see it advertised.

It's a sad last dinner, we'll never get to steal butter from the Italians or be stared at by zee Germans again :( food is still pretty rubbish. I had snails to start and then fillet beef which I think they may have got from tescos when they were selling off horse meat.

We are packed and ready to leave in the morning, we are off the ship at 9.30am then that 2 hour drive back to Genova, our flight is at 3.15 that's 2.15 UK time - I'm guessing the flight won't longer then 2 hours.
