Christmas vacation 2015
Hi there! We are visiting St Thomas today, it's a US virgin island and we've been here a couple of times before.
The day starts well and we continue our exercise routine by walking and jogging the track on the top deck - we're doing it early before it gets too hot.
As we aren't getting to St Thomas until 12.30pm we grab a few rays of sun before heading ashore - we aren't actually docking in the port today so that means we have to tender boat over to the land.
The tender boat trip was quite an experience as it would seem the guy couldn't actually drive the boat, he nearly crashed in to side of the cruise ship then smashed the boat into the land a couple of times too!
Just as we were pulling into our stop the skies opened up and it hammered down with rain, the tender boats are pretty hot and stuffy and they kept us onboard as its now pretty slippery trying to get off the boat - some loud mouth Americans weren't all that happy about being kept on and demanded they let us off.
Now on wet land we have to run for cover as the rain is pretty mental, we dive into a coffee shop and wait for the rain to calm. We are in there probably 30 mins before we head out again but we don't get far before the rain starts again.
Next we dive into a little upstairs bar for beer, we buy the beers and go to sit down. Now imagine this... There's us and there's a table next to us with 8 gays right beside us, one of the gays is being overly flamboyant as some gays do, Leon's loving this! (Not) but it's seems they are loving him! Hahaha - as we leave one of shouts out "oh bye guys, have a lovely day" Leon just scuttles out while I give them wave and say goodbye.
It seems pointless to stay on land as we have to be back on the ship within a couple of hours and we are nowhere near where we can snorkel :( so we return (safety) to the boat.
Already being wet we decide to jump into the jacuzzi on the top deck and have some more beers, further more we venture into the swimming pool for a bit of front stroke - just as we are finishing up another guy enters the pool and starts talking to us and stone the crows it's only another gay who just wouldn't leave us alone! Leon's got his gaydar on today!!
After dinner we have an appointment at a the art gallery- we trot off up there to view our splendid pieces purchased in last nights auction.
Next time you see Leon just say to him "tail tash"
While talking about Leon you will all be glad to know he hasn't found any seasickness and isn't too grumpy!
Today we even got delivered chocolate strawberries and a bottle of wine to our cabin as we (ahem Leon) had a little (ahem big) complaint.
