Christmas vacation 2015
Hey y'all... Welcome to the grumpiest diary update ever!! All all started at 4.45am and the unbearable tones of my alarm :( within an hour we are fresh and ready to head for the airport, so far everything is going blissfully well but don't be fooled that's all about to change...
.... On arrival we are advised that we are an hour too early and can not check in, bummer! We return an hour later, check in and again everything is going swimmingly...
On boarding the plane we take our seats which are placed in middle 2 seats of 4, I have a strange Indian chap beside me who is acting very weird by covering himself completely under his blanket then strapping himself in, as we come into land he uncovers himself and decides to help us playing a word game on my iPad - such a weirdo! The landing was pretty bad, really bumpy both Leon and myself felt extremely sick after that.
As we couldn't get a direct flight we are now in Dallas, we navigate through the airport to catch our next flight and this is where our nightmare really begins...
Our next flight is delayed as there's a leak onboard, we wait a couple of hours before we are told that actually we are getting on a different plane. We go over to the new gate where we are now advised our crew have run out of flying hours and they are waiting for another crew to fly us. Another hour passes before we board the plane and once we on we have to wait again while they fill the fuel up, finally we start taxiing to the run way..... Then wait and wait until the captain announces the copilot has run out of flight hours and we have to return to the airport.
The weather is pretty bad outside its lashing down with rain and thunder and lightening, we are asked to leave the plane - once the people are off the plane the flight is then cancelled!! We speak to the representatives who are extremely unhelpful but they do put us on a waiting list of flights going to Orlando the next day, we need to be back at the airport before 5.30am the next morning so we decide that it's better for to stay in the airport rather then leaving for a hotel.
